The FAAC 108712.5-2 S800H 180° 24V In-Ground Operator Single Kit (Steel) is a premium concealed swing gate automation system, ideal for residential, condominium, or architectural installations where aesthetics and performance matter. Installed underground, this operator allows a gate leaf to swing through 180°, using a low-voltage 24V hydraulic system with CBAC hydraulic locks to secure the gate in both open and closed positions.
Built with hybrid technology, the S800H combines hydraulic strength with precise electronic control via an integrated magnetic encoder. Mechanical positive stops are built into the system, so there’s no need for external door stops. The steel load bearing support box ensures robust and durable mounting, while the included manual release mechanism ensures operation even during power failures. The kit is designed for continuous use, supporting large gate leaves (up to 13 ft / 4 m wide) and heavy loads (up to 1,760 lb / 800 kg) with excellent weather protection and user safety features.
Genuine FAAC product built to FAAC specifications; includes CBAC hydraulic locking to secure gate leaf both open and closed.
Integrated magnetic encoder ensures precise control, anti-crushing safety, and reverse-on-contact feature for obstacle detection.
IP-67 rated protection guards internal components against dust and water ingress.
Steel housing and positive mechanical stops ensure durability and long life in demanding environments.
Manual release provides emergency access / gate operation during power failures.
Site Preparation: Excavate foundation footing for steel load bearing support box. Ensure stable concrete or base, proper drainage, and alignment with gate hinge/leaf.
Housing Installation: Install the in-ground steel support box flush with final ground surface, ensure it is level and secured.
Operator Mounting: Insert the S800H operator into the housing box; align splined shaft, mount support hardware (collars, bolts).
Electrical Connections: Connect 24V DC actuator lines. Connect the control board (E024U) to AC power supply per local electrical code. Wire control board, receiver, and safety inputs (e.g. photocells, safety edges) as required.
Mechanical Stops & Settings: Use built-in mechanical positive stops; set limits for open and close accurately. Adjust via the encoder and control board.
Manual Release: Install manual/hydraulic release mechanism. Check operation using the release in power-off condition.
Battery Backup (if included): Install battery system; test operation under power loss to verify backup works.
Testing & Calibration: Cycle gate through full open/close, check for smooth motion, no binding, correct stops, safe reverse on obstacle. Check for leaks or excessive vibration.
Final Adjustments & Safety Devices: Mount and test safety devices (photoeyes, warning lights), adjust speed, deceleration, ensure compliance with local safety regulations (UL, etc.).
Use genuine FAAC hydraulic oil, genuine spare parts for any seal or hydraulic component replacement.
Check alignment and firmness of gate leaf structure; heavy or large leaves should be supported properly to avoid undue stress.
Ensure foundation box has good drainage to avoid water pooling—important for longevity.
In cold climates, protect from freezing; in high-moisture or corrosive environments, use stainless steel or corrosion-resistant finishes for exposed parts.
Regular maintenance: inspect seals, check the encoder operation, tighten hardware, test safety reversal, test manual release.
For gates subject to wind or demanding conditions, consider SBW version for wind resistance
