The FAAC 400?CBAC?EG-SB Basic Single Operator Kit – 115?V (Part?No.?10420712.5) is a robust hydraulic gate operator engineer ed for demanding environments including residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-family complexes. Its extended-geometry (“EG-SB”) design offers versatile mounting options—ideal for master/slave (bi-parting) systems or as a high-performance standalone solution.
Kit includes:
One 400 CBACR hydraulic operator (rapid version of CBAC)
One 455D control panel
One 14??×?16? pre-wired, UL-listed fiberglass enclosure
One manual release key, ON/OFF switch, receptacle for accessories (up to 5?A), test button, warning signs, large terminals for easy wiring
Note: A monitored safety photo-eye (UL325) is required for operation in the U.S. post-February 2016.
This model features hydraulic bypass for anti-entrapment protection, making it inherently safer with no pinch points. The operator also includes hydraulic locking (in the open and/or closed position) and a key-protected manual release to ensure operational capability during power outages
Safe and Secure Operation:
Built-in hydraulic bypass valve for anti-entrapment protection
No pinch points, ensuring operator safety
Hydraulic lock secures the gate in open and/or closed position for enhanced intrusion resistance
Key-protected manual release enables gate movement during power outages
Requires a monitored photoelectric sensor (UL325), without which this model will not operate in the U.S
Mount the enclosure: Secure the 14??×?16? UL fiberglass enclosure in a protected, accessible location.
Install the operator: Attach the hydraulic unit to the gate per mounting hardware included.
Connect wiring: Hook up power (115?V), accessory receptacle, control panel (455D), manual release switch, and test button as directed.
Install safety components: Include a monitored photocell per UL325; position mechanical stops at open/closed limits.
Test manual release: Ensure the key-release operates smoothly for manual access.
Perform cycle test: Open and close the gate multiple times to confirm smooth, hydraulic operation and proper behavior under rapid gate conditions.
Ensure UL325 Compliance: A monitored photoelectric sensor is mandatory for safe operation in the U.S.
Use in dual-gate systems: Ideal for master/slave bi-parting configurations—extended geometry aids seamless integration.
Install proper stops: Mechanical stops at both positions are essential to avoid structural stress and ensure safety.
Climate considerations: For locations with extreme temperatures, consider Arctic oil for reliable hydraulic performance (though not included in this standard kit).
