Please Note: Enclosure may not match the picture.
This product is a direct replacement for the FAAC 455D115A+.
Use this control panel when you need a durable, weather-resistant enclosure for your gate operator setup. The metal box helps protect internal electronics from impacts, vandalism, or harsh environments.
Install for both single-leaf and bi-parting gate systems using FAAC operators requiring the 455D board.
Take advantage of the multiple logic settings to match how your gate opens/closes (manual, automatic, safety devices etc.).
Pre-installation
Verify your gate operator model is compatible with the 455D control board (e.g., FAAC 400, 402, 422, 750 etc.)
Confirm power source: stable 115 VAC line.
Mounting the Panel
Mount the metal enclosure in a secure, dry location, ideally off the ground, protected from direct water exposure if possible.
Ensure proper grounding of the enclosure.
Internal Wiring
Connect AC power input to the board’s power terminals.
Wire motors (gate operator motor) per manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect safety devices: photocells or photo-eyes, safety edges / edges, loops as needed.
Connect accessories: electric / magnetic locks if used, remote receivers, signal lamps, limit switches, etc.
Adjustment / Setup
Select the desired operating logic among the 8 options (semi-auto, automatic, safety devices, etc.)
Adjust slowdown in opening and closing phases, to reduce speed near ends.
Set thrust/electrical force to match gate size and weight.
Testing
Cycle the gate open/close, test all safety devices, check delays and reversing or stopping when obstruction.
Verify the panel’s response to photocells (fail-safe), electric locks if applicable, remote control signals.
Maintenance
Periodically inspect connections, wiring, enclosure seal, corrosion in enclosure hinges, latches, etc.
Check that safety devices are clean / aligned.
Always disconnect AC power before servicing.
Use appropriate gauge wiring and proper grounding to prevent electrical hazards.
Enclosure must be properly sealed to avoid water ingress; water inside can damage components or cause short circuits.
Ensure safety devices are installed and maintained (photocells, edges) to meet applicable safety / building codes (e.g. UL-325 in U.S.).
Do not let the control board operate a gate without mechanical stops limiting its open and closed travel.
Avoid allowing unauthorized persons to access the internals; control panel should be locked/enclosed.
