FAAC 402 CBC Hydraulic Swing Gate Operator Kit – 115V (FAAC-1044682.5, Standard Basic Single Kit) is an entry-level hydraulic gate opener designed for residential swing gates. With a compact self-lubricating design, it delivers quiet, reliable performance and can hydraulically lock the gate in a closed position. It supports gate leaves up to 10ft (3m) in length and 900lb (410kg) in weig
The kit includes:
1 × 402 CBC hydraulic operator
1 × 455D control panel (115V)
1 × 14×16pre-wired fiberglass enclosure
1 × 433 RC plug-in radio receiver
2 × XT4 433 RC 4-channel transmitters
Safe and Secure Operation: Equipped with hydraulic bypass for entrapment protection and a manual release mechanism to operate the gate manually in case of power failure. The hydraulic lock secures the gate when closed, offering added stability and reliability
Mount the enclosure: Secure the 14× 16 fiberglass enclosure on a stable surface.
Install the operator: Fix the 402 CBC hydraulic unit to the gate leaf, ensuring proper alignment and secure mounting.
Wire the control panel: Connect power (115VAC), receiver, safety devices, and limit switches to the 455D control panel.
Install the receiver & remote: Plug in the 433 RC receiver and test the paired XT4 transmitters.
Adjust bypass valves: Set force limits per FAAC safety standards—gate must stop if encountering over 33lb (15kg) of obstruction .
Set manual release: Ensure the triangular key release works to disengage the hydraulic system for manual gate movement.
Test operation: Open and close the gate to verify smooth motion, locking, and correct remote response.
Always install positive mechanical stops at open and closed positions to protect the operator and gate .
Consider adding monitored photo-cells (required under UL325 since February 2016) for enhanced safety against obstruction.
For installations in areas with extreme temperatures, request arctic-grade hydraulic fluid for improved performance.
Regularly test and adjust bypass valves to maintain safe operating force limits.
Always follow local electrical codes and UL325 compliance for safety systems.
